CAUTION URGED FOR CANADIANS TRAVELLING TO LONDON
Canadian citizens are advised that widespread violent riots and looting have been taking place in London, outlying areas and beyond since August 6, and have led to clashes between rioters and police.
Unrest has occurred in Tottenham, Clapham, Croydon, Ealing, Enfield, Hackney, Brixton, Lewisham, Liverpool, Bristol, Birmingham and other areas. This list is not exhaustive. The situation remains unpredictable and the unrest could spread quickly to other areas.
Canadians in affected areas should be vigilant, avoid all protests and gatherings, monitor local media for current information and follow the advice of local authorities.
