AIR CANADA FLIGHT ATTENDANTS REJECT DEAL

Air Canada has suffered a labour setback after its flight attendants rejected a tentative agreement reached in August.

The union representing the approximate 6,800 flight attendants reports that 87% per cent of members voted against the deal. The Canadian Union of Public Employees says it will organize a strike vote in September.

Meanwhile, Air Canada says it is business as usual for the airline and that customers can continue to book Air Canada flights with confidence.
